Samsung Wallet to Support Solana Stablecoins on 82M US Devices
Samsung and Solana Foundation are integrating stablecoin transfers natively into Samsung Wallet and Samsung Pay for US Galaxy users.
Samsung Wallet and Samsung Pay will natively support stablecoins built on the Solana blockchain, the Solana Foundation announced Tuesday, marking a significant push to bring crypto-powered payments into mainstream consumer devices across the United States.
The partnership extends stablecoin functionality to approximately 82 million Samsung Galaxy devices in the US, embedding cross-border money transfer capabilities directly into the wallet experience Galaxy users already rely on for everyday transactions. The integration removes the need for third-party crypto applications to conduct stablecoin transfers.

The Solana Foundation positioned the move as a practical bridge between traditional mobile payments and blockchain-based finance, leveraging Solana's high-throughput network as the underlying infrastructure for settlement. Samsung Wallet's existing user base provides an immediate distribution channel at a scale rarely seen in consumer crypto adoption.
The announcement underscores growing institutional and corporate interest in stablecoins as a payments utility rather than a speculative asset, coming as regulatory clarity around digital dollars continues to develop in Washington. For Samsung, the integration strengthens the competitive positioning of its Wallet platform against rivals such as Apple Pay and Google Wallet, which have not yet announced comparable stablecoin features.
