Clear Channel Outdoor Clears CFIUS Review for Mubadala Deal
Clear Channel Outdoor has received CFIUS approval for its acquisition by Mubadala Capital, with closing expected around October 14, 2026.
Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CCO) announced Tuesday that it has received clearance from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States for its pending acquisition by Mubadala Capital, removing a key regulatory hurdle for the transaction.
The San Antonio-based outdoor advertising company said the deal is expected to close on or about October 14, 2026. CFIUS review is a standard federal process that scrutinizes foreign acquisitions of U.S. companies for potential national security implications, and clearance from the panel is often a prerequisite for cross-border deals of this nature to proceed.

With that approval secured, the transaction appears on track to reach completion in the coming days barring any unforeseen developments.
